Food Policy

Restaurant listings, halal verification and allergies.

Restaurant listings

FoodVerse listings come from restaurants, from public place data, and from the community. Anyone can suggest a correction; verified businesses can claim and manage their own listing.

Halal verification

  • Green — verified: a certificate or credible confirmation from the restaurant is on file.
  • Amber — likely / partial: strong signals (menu, cuisine, self-declared) but no certificate.
  • Red — not halal or contains alcohol/pork based on available information.
  • Verification reflects the information available to us at a point in time. If it matters to you, confirm with the restaurant — always ask about shared fryers, alcohol in sauces and cross-contact.

Allergy information

Allergen and nutrition details, including AI scanner results, are indicative and can be wrong or out of date. Never rely on Habsii alone for a serious allergy or intolerance — confirm directly with the restaurant or read the product packaging.

User reviews

Reviews and halal reports must describe a real visit. We remove reviews used to attack a restaurant's religion, owners or staff.

Restaurant responsibilities

  • Keep menu, prices, opening hours and dietary claims accurate.
  • Only claim halal, vegan or gluten-free status you can stand behind.
  • Upload valid certificates when you claim verification.
  • Respond to allergy questions honestly, including cross-contact risk.
