Information we collect
- Account information: name, handle, email, phone (if you add one), profile photo, home city, languages, interests.
- Device information: device type, browser, app version, language, crash and error diagnostics.
- Location data: only when you turn it on — for Living Planet, nearby food, and Orbit location sharing.
- Passport & travel information: documents and details you choose to store in Passport & Travel.
- Payment information: processed by our payment providers; we keep transaction records, not full card numbers.
- Photos and files you upload to memories, listings, scans and messages.
- Messages you send to other people, to businesses, and to Habsii AI.
- Usage data: pages opened, searches, saved places, bookings and preferences.
Why we use it
- To run the features you asked for (bookings, scans, maps, finance, safety).
- To personalise recommendations and remember your preferences.
- To keep the platform safe: fraud, scam and abuse prevention.
- To support you and to fix bugs.
Location data
Location is always opt-in and can be revoked in your device settings or in Habsii. Live location in Orbit is shared only with the people and circles you choose, for the duration you choose, and can be stopped instantly.
Passport information
Documents you store in Passport & Travel are private to your account, stored in a private bucket and served through short-lived signed links. We do not sell or share them. You can delete any document at any time.
AI interactions
When you use Habsii AI, your prompt and the context needed to answer it are sent to our AI provider. Facts you ask Habsii to remember are stored as AI memory in your account. You can clear that memory at any time from the chat panel. See the AI Policy.
How data is stored and protected
- Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with access limited to what a feature needs.
- Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), and data at rest is encrypted by our hosting provider.
- Row-level access rules mean your rows are only readable by you, and by people you explicitly share with.
- Private files (documents, memories, listing media) are served through expiring signed URLs, not public links.
Third-party services
We share the minimum necessary with providers that make features work — hosting and database, payment processing, maps and places, booking and flight inventory, AI model providers, email and push delivery. They act on our instructions and are not allowed to use your data for their own purposes.
Your rights
- Access and export your data.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your account and content.
- Object to or limit certain processing, and withdraw consent (for example location).
- Complain to your local data protection authority.
Export or delete your data
Settings → Privacy has both. Export gives you a machine-readable copy; deletion removes your account, profile, memories, documents and AI memory. Some records (for example invoices) may be kept where law requires it. Questions: privacy@habsii.com.
